Great wealth in business can also be easily achieved when focusing on the corporate B2B markets. Many business owners who are very much involved in consumer markets may find approaching the corporate marketplace daunting. Obviously, the consumer markets has its advantages but coming from a B2B background myself..I find it has amazing opportunities that most business owners should not ignore.

The stark difference between B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) are NUMBERS and VOLUME. For example, if you want to earn a 7 figure turnover with B2B, you probably need less than 30-50 corporate clients whereas within the B2C, you’ll need more than 100,000 to 500,000 customers (depending on the value of each product/service). The Corporate B2B marketplace gives you greater potential, flexibility and less effort to reach your business financial goals. That’s why I simply love it!

I organised an intensive 2 Day Corporate Sales and Marketing Workshop in July 2010 to help business owners learn more on how they can skyrocket their business potential within this arena. I believe that when it is done properly business owners can reap incredible benefits and growth especially when they sync their business operations with effective corporate B2B internet marketing and social media strategies!! Now imagine the impact it can make to your business!!

Our inhouse corporate sales trainer, Mr Reza Kalamadine was there to train workshop delegates on how they can sell effectively to companies with billion dollars turnover. Watch the video excerpt below and see for yourself how you can get involved with it too.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject and please leave your comments below. If you would like to attend the next 2 Day Intensive Corporate B2B Sales and Marketing Workshop in London, please email us via info at ambarhamid.com

Thank you.

Best Wishes,

Running a business is never easy and sometimes entrepreneurs complicate things. They’re making it so hard for their business to grow when at the end of the day, their business growth plan should be easy as ABC. If a business is complicated then every thing else will become complicated!

In my opinion all you need is just these 3 simple steps! A 3 steps system. Master it and your business will grow like no other..and yes, this can be applied for any business – offline or online. Just concentrate on it and you will dramatically see the improvements on your business growth!

The video below was recorded with my mobile in my hotel room so I apologise for looking so ‘un-business-like’ but I wanted to share it with you whilst the idea is still fresh in my head.

I hope you’ll benefit from it and please let me know your thoughts in the comment form below.

Enjoy.

Last week on Sunday marked the release of the infamous Sunday Times Rich List 2010 where you can browse through all the rich millionaires and billionaires that make the list in the UK. You can also look at The World’s Billionaires in 2010 as released by Forbes !

So the question is this – Why are we so obsessed with the rich list? (OK, this may not apply to everyone but most people in the business community are always very keen in knowing who’ve made it to the list!)

Let’s look at 3 possibilities here:

1) Business research – To find potential profitable markets that you can start.

2) Business mentor – To read and understand more about these businessmen and how they got to be so successful in business.

3) Lifestyle - To find out what they are buying, where they shop, properties that they own, private jets etc.

4) or your own personal reasons…. in which case, I would love to hear from you. Let’s discuss it in the comment section.

I was in ‘shock’ when I was given a YouTube link for Lady Gaga’s new music video – ‘Telephone’. The music video is very graphic with many ‘unsuitable’ scenes which clearly has offended many people. MTV and other TV stations have refused to play it on air in fear that there would be huge negative backlash from viewers. You can view it at the link below but please watch it at your own discretion.

Lady Gaga – Telephone

Lagy Gaga reminds me of Madonna in her early days when she danced on stage with socks tied to her hair and her many usual ‘antiques’. Indeed, it did cause quite a stir at the time but I suppose it’s quite similar with what Lady Gaga is doing now and it’s not surprising that Madonna is Lady Gaga’s inspiration! (in reference to Wikipedia).

You might be asking? Why am I blogging about Lady Gaga and what has this got to do with your business?

Let me explain..

Successful business requires the ‘attention’ or exposure to the markets that they serve and if the business doesn’t get any of these then it would be difficult for it to grow and expand.

Obviously, we do not have to be like Lady Gaga but we have to admit that her business and marketing techniques are clearly working. She has successfully sold over 10 million copies from her ‘The Fame Monster’ album and with the prevalence of illegal music today, it is quite an achievement! So how did she do it?

Shock and Awe.

I think that is her secret ingredient for success and also the key reason for her massive worldwide viral-word-of-mouth sensation! Everyone seems to be talking about Lady Gaga. It’s hot off the press!

It’s all well and good that Lady Gaga is now a very successful businesswoman and musician but how can your business emulate that? Can you shock and awe your market? If so, how will you do it? Are you willing to go beyond the usual conceptions?

I am a staunch believer in business ethics. We don’t want to lose any existing and potential customers but in reference to this discussion, what can you do to ‘shock and awe’ your markets and create a massive impact?

Let me know your input. I would love to hear your feedback on this.

Now, let’s look at Lady Gaga’s involvement in social media. (I haven’t studied this in great detail but if you’d like to add anything then please do so in the comment section below)

Twitter – She followed more than 152,000 people but stops following once she has reached that ‘critical mass’. Lady Gaga On Twitter

Facebook – Currently, Lady Gaga has close to 6 million fans on Facebook. Lagy Gaga on Facebook

Looking at the example above, we can see that Lady Gaga is pretty much involved in the major social media sites. She followed a lot of people on Twitter initially, but as her popularity grew, she stopped following. Perhaps this should give you an idea that you could do the same? Maybe you should give it a go!

We live in the online social media age now and if your business is not already on Twitter and own a Facebook fan page then you are losing many potential ‘rabid’ customers. Start tweeting and build your fan base on Facebook. Get interactive. ‘Talk’ to your fans and build a brand. I’m sure it will all pay off soon.

All the best,

Ambar Hamid.

Have you ever wondered why some footballers are earning so much money in comparison with the players from a few decades ago?

What about the top sportmen in other sports like the Superbowl, NBA, Formula One, English Premier League, Golf etc? These men are also getting paid by the millions and we are not even talking about the sponsorship deals! Tiger Woods for example, is the only sportman that has broken the $1 Billion earnings mark and Kimi Raikkonen, Michael Schumacher, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, David Beckham themselves are worth in the tens of millions of dollars!.

Even Bernie Ecclestone – the man behind Formula One is widely known to be one of the richest men on the planet. According to Forbes in 2009, his wealth is worth $3.7 Billion and he had even tried to take over SAAB recently in January 2010.

But, surely all this wealth must come from somewhere….

Let’s look at the ardent supporters..

- Are they willing to part with significant amounts of cash for expensive tickets and give full support for their favourite team or sportsmen? Sure they do…

- What about blue chip and multinational companies? Are they willing to spend money on the industry? You bet!

- And let’s talk about the government? Are they willing to spend too? Sure they do. Look at the London Olympics planned for 2012. The British Parliament had approved an extortionate £9.3 Billion Pounds budget in ensuring that it happens successfully.

The bottom line is that there is an incessant demand in this industry and it seems to defy any recession. When there are any sporting events this usually equates to big business!

I anticipate that McDonalds will ‘piggyback’ London 2012 Olympics by up-selling related Olympics products with their Big Value Meal and it’s likely that other companies would follow suit too.

So how can you take advantage of it?

Get involved in it. Find every possible new business opportunity relating to it and find out how you can really get yourself involved. You can be a consultant for the industry, supply products and services or even sell licensed sporting goods offline and online. The choice is endless and it’s yours!

But don’t just stop there… Try and source other opportunities in other profitable industries too. It doesn’t really have to be strictly for the sports industry! There are many potential profitable markets out there. Go for it!

I am not denying the fact that we are now inundated with a plethora of great products and services. Those businesses that want your business will just have to try harder in getting your attention.

Customers have more options on how they wish to be informed. They can opt for the traditional media like radio, TV or the daily newspapers and magazines, or they can just simply switch on their computer and log on to the internet to access all the information they want.

I think that it is important now as a business person that we keep an open mind. New marketing channels are cropping up everywhere and we need to keep our ears open for new opportunities that we can test and discover.

New technology is great and I am an ardent fan. I was recently at a business exhibition when I saw a stand that seemed to pull in a large crowd. Curiosity got the better of me so I walked closer to the stand and saw that almost everyone were glued to the wide array of laser- clear holograms that was on display.

I particularly liked the 3D hologram Coca Cola bottle. It managed to change from the usual mundane bottle into a marketing/advertising masterpiece. It gets the attention from anyone who sees it. I insist that you click the play button here and experience it for yourself!

Here is another great 3D hologram of Virgin Atlantic plane ‘flying up in the air’.

You can implement the technology to introduce any products you want and use it to convey your message more dramatically! The word of mouth effect is almost guaranteed to explode through the roof!

Let me know if you did finally implement 3D hologram technology in your organisation marketing arsenal. I’m always interested to hearing your thoughts.

The obvious difference that I’ve seen between ‘the successful’ and ‘the struggling’ is that the latter tend to play the blame game more than anyone else.

When things are not going the way that we want it to be, why is it then that we feel better in blaming others and never take the responsibility?

Why is it that we blame friends, business partners, the banks, the economy, the government, and the country?

Will it change yourself or even your business to another level?

Well, I very much doubt it. You’ll definitely feel better but it won’t change any of your problems. In fact, it will remain and probably ‘fester’ deep in your psyche.

I believe that when we start to fully take the responsibility and become aware of the consequences from every action we make – big or small, then we will soon see that there will always be room for more improvements and opportunities.

Mistakes will be made along the way but as long as you continuously carry on with your journey and find new great ideas and solutions, sure enough, you will soon see the results.

Life itself is a difficult journey but with a little bit of ingenuity, it will make all the difference!

All the best,

It is now my second Avatar movie experience since my first at the London IMAX in Greenwich. The movie was so realistic that I couldn’t even ‘believe’ that the Na’vi people who live in Pandora are not real! I couldn’t even tell the difference between what was ‘real’ and the bits that were fictional and had the visual effects on them. I supposed IMAX would make everything look so real and ‘alive’, so I take my hat off for the incredible visual effects that James Cameron’s team managed to come up with.

My second Avatar movie visit was at a 3D cinema and although it wasn’t as good as watching it on IMAX, it was still a good movie experience.

The point that I am trying to make is this – ‘What can we learn from movie marketing? What makes Avatar marketing so powerful? How can we copy Avatar marketing for our own business benefit?’

In comparison to the Harry Potter or even the Lord Of The Rings series, Avatar was still new to the public eye. Despite being new, the movie grossed over a $1 billion in worldwide ticket sales in less than 17 days at the box office!

Access to a reportedly $150 million in marketing budget would certainly help but which bit of this marketing can we implement as our own?

My research tells me that Avatar had a healthy daily Google Adwords budget of around $18,000 (Dec. 09) and that was just for the US only. Also, if you look at the official site: Avatar, you’ll see that the site uses FREE MARKETING through SOCIAL MEDIA. There are links on the site for people to spread the word to the world and these include:

Youtube, Flickr, RSS Feeds, Myspace, Twitter, Yahoo, Digg, Orkut, Bebo, Tumblr, Friendster and Hi5.

Avatar had also received many worldwide free press in newspapers, radios and TVs as well as the millions of blogs, Twitter and Facebook updates.

It’s great to have your product being the public word of mouth but Avatar also did spend a substantial marketing money on traditional marketing including billboards, TV and radio ads etc that it is almost difficult not to be exposed by its message anywhere!!

Obviously, there is no way that I can break down the segments of Avatar marketing campaigns without having access to the official documents but I hope you can see that most of what Avatar is doing in terms of marketing is also accessible to any of us!

The question is ==> Are you going to take advantage of it?

Let’s discuss…
